Health Core is a one-year program for young people ages 18-24. Participants will learn about various health topics such as diabetes, hypertension, trauma, reproductive health, and much more. The program will also provide opportunities to learn more about a variety of allied health careers. Through our partnerships with community colleges and community-based organizations, applicants will receive assistance applying to health education departments of their choice. Participants may also earn credits while attending the Health Core program. Stipends are also available for participation.

SHEP members (ages 12-16) receive comprehensive health outreach training including on-site health services; public speaking; project and planning implementation; healthy relationships; STI & HIV prevention; nutrition; reproductive health; diversity; and group facilitation. The SHEP members represent 3rd Street Youth Center & Clinic by conducting outreach and sharing information throughout the community via social media, tabling events, and street outreach. Participants will also earn a stipend.
