Office Manager

Katie left her roots in Charleston, SC eleven years ago, and has called San Francisco home for the past two.  Her first professional foray into justice work was with Appalachian Voices, working to educate and mobilize folk about the devastation caused by mountaintop removal coal mining.  Her following years were invested in the pursuit of equality for queer people and their allies in some of the country’s most religiously conservative pockets.  She, along with her co-workers, facilitated the creation of Soulforce’s inaugural Equality Ride, and then Katie went on to direct two more.  She served as Soulforce Q’s Director of Operations, as well as a creator and leader for many proceeding campaigns.  She is now on 3^rd Street, enjoying the sunniest spot in the city.  And, in becoming a good Californian, Katie has taken up yoga and walking her dog on the beach.
